The Permanent Secretary Barrister Georgina Ekeoma Ehuriah, today visited the facilities of the Nigeria Internal Security and Public Safety Alert System (NISPSAS) in Abuja. During her visit, she inspected the technical backup station of NISPSAS which services and maintains the infrastructure for the various Agencies including the Nigerian Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Federal Fire Service, Nigerian Immigration Service, the Nigerian Prisons Service among others. At the technical backup center, she inspected the fully functional mobile application which equips the public with a tool for rapid emergency distress alert reporting and the verification of various internal security concerns.

She then moved to the Situation Room located at the Ministry of Interior, Old Secretariat Garki, where a demonstration on the use of the mobile application and response procedures was made. She lauded the achievements of the technical team and the different Security Agencies for their collaboration in making NISPSAS a success and encouraged every Nigerian to play a part in their safety and security as well as that of the Nation by downloading and using the mobile app.

In attendance were the Director of Joint Services, the Director, General Services, Director Press of the Ministry of Interior, the CEO 2toc Solutions, NISPSAS desk officers of the Nigerian Police, Civil Defence, Nigerian Immigration Sevice and the Nigerian Prisons Service and the Federal Fire Service.
