As a measure against mitigating the threats to Internal Security and Public Safety, NISPSAS provides the public with a means of reporting a crime, medical, fire or flooding emergencies directly to these Agencies from their mobile phone to receive relief and rescue at any time among other benefits. NISPSAS provides these Agencies with the technology to collaborate for an immediate first response to the distress alerts made by the public effectively. Equipped with Alarm Monitoring Dashboards at their respective stations, these Agencies are required to use the full resources at their disposal to respond immediately to distress alerts initiated by the public from their mobile devices anywhere and at any time. At the Ministry of Interior Situation Room (MISR), the Ministry monitors and oversees the response level of these Agencies, while gathering crucial data for better and effective policy formulation.

Also present at the inspection was the Chief Judge of the FCT, Justice I. U. Bello who commended the efforts of the Ministry of Interior on NISPSAS and stressed the need to position the project as the solution to the rising threat of insecurity in the Country.
