Agencies fully collaborating in NISPSAS include The Nigerian Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, The Federal Fire Service, The Nigerian Immigration Service, and the Nigerian Prisons Service and others.

NISPSAS provides Security Agencies in Nigeria with a 24/7 support surveillance monitoring platform to respond to your emergencies. Each Agency has its own individual response protocol procedure. NISPSAS enables the effective joint collaboration of these Agencies in their field operations to ensure time in response and relief support are down to bare minimal

NISPSAS also provides the Nigerian Public with preventive security protection. From road crime control system transport operator verification, fire extinguisher verification to artisan verification and criminal status verification, NISPSAS ensures that the Public remains safe whether at home, work or on the road.

You may be on camera.
Armed with NISPSAS, you too can be a security and safety associate partnering with the Federal Government and Security Agencies to ensure we make Nigeria crime-free. If you spot suspicious activity/persons or catch a crime live in action you can report directly to Security Agents with evidence to use in enforcement.

Nigeria Internal Security and Public Safety Alert System (NISPSAS) is an integrated and single mobile application developed to assist the Public access prompt response to emergencies  and Public Safety concerns under the Federal Ministry of Interior Situation Coordination.

In line with the Federal Government’s Security, Safety and Counter Terrorism Measures, the Ministry of Interior Initated the Situation Room (MISR) to achieve the following aims among others:

  1. Enhance effective joint coordination of emergency and public safety response agencies activities.
  2. Monitor and facilitate the degree of responsiveness of Agencies to distress alerts and emergencies.
  3. Constantly monitor the level of preparedness of all agencies for emergency.
  4. Provide needed-statistics for Internal Securityand Public Safety.

How do I download NISPSAS?

NISPSAS Mobile App is available on Google PlayStore. Simply search for the word “NISPSAS” in the PlayStore Search bar on your smartphone then click the “Install” button. On certain phones, you may have to delete some files to make space to install the app. Please call the number below if you need further assistance.

Can I make send an alert without opening NISPSAS?

Yes, you can. NISPSAS uses the SOS function of your mobile phone to send out alerts. Simply press the power button of your phone three times to activate SOS alert on your phone and send a panic alert through NISPSAS

Can I get response from anywhere in Nigeria?

Yes, you can. NISPSAS is active in all the 36 states and their respective LGAs. The Global Positioning System technology allows NISPSAS to track your location anywhere in Nigeria.

Do I pay to use NISPSAS services?

No. NISPSAS mobile app has been provided free and at no charge to the Nigerian public. The use of NISPSAS emergency alert services also does not incur charges. In response to the growing rate of Insecurity in Nigeria, NISPSAS is provided to the public as a service.

What if I do not have a smartphone?

Soon you will be able to use USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) Code to send text SMS to the NISPSAS dashboard. NISPSAS is in talks with Telecom firms on the introduction of USSD codes for NISPSAS services. Already the *735# USSD code for transport vehicle registration is in use.
